Melvins - Victoria

B-side from the recent 7” A Tribute To The Kinks. The A-side is Attitude from Everybody Loves Sausages.
Ripped from vinyl, because it was only released on vinyl.

Kim Gordon looks awesome in that third pic with Novoselic.

This is correct, Lori was driving the car when a tyre hit their windscreen.

Babes In Toyland - Hansome And Gretel/Pearl (Insipid Vinyl 1991)

One of the most horrible covers ever. The front has singer Kat Bjelland emerging bloodied from a car crash, and the back is drummer Lori Barbero after being punched by her boyfriend (I think that’s the origin of the image if I remember right - the internet didn’t help). No one really mentions Babes In Toyland anymore which is a shame, they definitely had something going on back then. Label logo drawn by the inimitable Savage Pencil.

My first time seeing the Truckers - last night at First Ave - started off rough, with muddy sound and mostly songs from the new album that the band doesn’t seem quite as polished on. After about 20-25 minutes they played The Company I Keep, and the show got better and better from there. Two long sets for a 3 hour show. Hood is amazing on stage, and Cooley has developed Willie Nelson timing disease. It ended up being pretty epic.

I did this last night. Feel free to share around. :)

Another musical musing from tonight. Drum machine and acoustic guitar. Thought about adding vocals but then decided against it for now. Maybe later.

My version of the song/ballad from Pretty Deadly #1. It’s getting near a thousand listens, so share around! :) Plus I think issue #5 is coming out soon, looking forward to it.
